Recently, SMART Research Group (Ifwat Ghazali and Faqieha Athilah) in collaboration with Ibnu Ummi Maktum Research Centre - Quran & Sunnah for Special Needs (Akyairee MRaus and Adzam Rasdi) received a silver award at Malaysia Technology Expo 2021.

The product is entitled “CELIK SOLAT”.

“CELIK SOLAT” is inspired by education tools for disabled people in particular blind people that use Braille. Based on the Braille technique, the development of “CELIK SOLAT” uses the concept of sensory to allow blind people to learn how to perform prayers. The product was designed using 3D Scanner and 3D Printing. Each step of the prayer is created to facilitate a blind person to know the accurate position of each body part during prayer.

“CELIK SOLAT” is the first in the world 3D printed product that assists blind people in learning how to pray.

We would like to show our appreciation to Persatuan Orang-Orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia - Pertis for helping us as we worked side-by-side to get feedback regarding the efficiency of the product for blind people.

We hope this innovation can contribute to society specifically disabled people in learning how to perform ibadah.
